Recent Live work

Hi all, Sorry for the long drought. Been busy and no time to post. But here are some live work from recent gigs and a couple retail samples from Camden Yards.

Recent Commissions

This is a signing board for a bar mitzvah 20″x30″.

Here’s one that wanted everything but the kitchen sink in it, plus it was a quick turn around. They had a whole laundry list of things in there.

Here’s a wedding caricature. Both are in to fishing and real estate.

Logo Design

Here’s a logo design I did just recently. I don’t do too many logo designs, I use to. It does make a difference designing and tweaking them on the computer. It gives you more options and flexability.

Below is the sketch the client gave me to work with. I just tweaked it alittle.

Recent gigs

Here are some drawings from a couple events I’ve done recently.
This was a 50th wedding aniversary party. They sent me a photo before hand, ask me do a quick sketch of them. They were very pleased and used it as a signing board.

Here’s a few from a bank grand opening

Happy Birthday Christina!!

It’s been awhile since the last post. But here’s my older daughter’s caricature. Today is her 15th birthday. It doesn’t seem that long ago. She’s now a freshman in high school and it was just yesterday, that she just found out that she made the school’s VARSITY lacrosse team. So CONGRATULATIONS for making the team and HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY.

Happy Birthday Erica!

Today is my daughter’s 11th birthday. Attached is a sketch I picked up from a colleague from England, Ric Machin. He does beautiful work. I liked his techinque, so I gave it a try.

Happy Birthday Erica, LOVE YOU!
It’s also my sister Lucille’s birthday today too. Love you too!!

Ravens Weekend!!

Here are a couple Ravens caricatures I just did for a client this week. The Ravens have their hands full this weekend in Pittsburg agaist the Steelers. Hopefully they can keep this ride going they are on for a couple more weeks. GO RAVENS!!

This is Joe Flacco, our rookie quaterback who is has been cool and smooth all year long.

This one is Ed Reed and theRay Lewis one I did a couple of years ago.

This is the photo reference I used for my Ray Lewis drawing. (Thanks Christina)

Stairway to the Attic

Here’s a drawing I did MANY moons ago when I was a young lad in high school. I was going through the attic and found it a couple of days ago. It’s pretty bruised and ripped up as you can see. After looking at it, it’s hard to believe I had the patience to draw all those rocks back then.

I wanted to try and fix it up alittle to preserve it some. Back then I guess I didn’t feel like filling in the whole background so I trimmed it out, leaving a hallow around it?? So now I decided to finish off the background. This what I did:

And this is how it turned out. It’s over 4 ft high and I found a frame for it too.

The final drawings of 2008

Here’s the last few drawings of ’08. This one is the last of the 50’s. My old buddy Dave LaRosa turned 50 right before Christmas. His wife Joanne, throw a nice surprise birthday party for him in NY.

Below is the 50’s club. Guys I went to high school with. Joe, myself, Dave and Terry that all had their drawings done by me this year. (My next victim sometime soon will be Groovy Red. Lookout Groovy!!)

Here’s the last couple commissions I did before holidays. This couple loves red wine. So he wanted to have himself and his fiance’ in a wine cellar.

This golfer has visions of playing at the Masters.

This is a caricature I did for a radio station WYPR that is used for their website.
